Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Middlesex County Released Inmates. By using the site, a visitor accepts the conditions below. This is a private reference service that links to public offices and outside tools. It is not part of MPRSC, the Middlesex Sheriff's Office, VADOC, a court, or another government agency.

Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides consumer reports or services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered decision.

Nature of the Service

The site collects reference material about Middlesex County release records, MPRSC custody routes, VADOC searches, supervision, and federal systems. It stores no official jail, corrections, or court record. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, file a request, or act as a private investigator. Outside research tools may operate under separate terms.

Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming people, systems, or access for others.

  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to this site or a linked service.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools.
  • Do not interfere with normal site operation.
  • Do not violate a law, court order, or a source site's rules.

No Consumer Reports

Middlesex County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and its advertising partners do not supply screening services through this site. Users agree not to use any material here for employment decisions, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, government-benefit eligibility, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.

Links and Partner Services

Links may lead to government portals, release records, sheriff and corrections pages, federal locators, legal resources, and outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the destination's content, privacy practices, prices, results, or availability. Review that service's own terms before using it.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, there is no warranty that information is complete, accurate, current, fit for a particular purpose, continuously available, secure, or free of errors. Public custody and court records change, and no statement here is an official finding by a government body.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside link. Some legal limits may not apply in every situation.

Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its operators, and content partners harmless from claims, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that user's unlawful use, misuse of information, violation of another person's rights, or breach of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Middlesex County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. No one may copy, republish, distribute, or modify protected material without written permission, except where law permits limited use.

Changes and Access

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when posted. Access may be suspended or ended without notice when needed to protect the site, enforce these terms, or address misuse.

Virginia Law

Virginia law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Virginia.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision should be narrowed only as much as necessary to make it lawful.
